    Our vision is to create taonga to adorn and enrich our kāinga with expressions of te ao Māori to nourish the desire to connect, celebrate and express our own cultural identity.

    We create art prints, enamel pins, jewellery, stickers and woven patches. It is the notion of creating beautiful taonga that guides the dreams of Waihonga.

  • whakaingoā . choosing a name

    In te reo Māori, Waihonga means nectar - the sweet, sugary juice of a plant which attracts insects or birds to pollinate the flower.

ko wai au . who am I?

Ko Ambrosia Crum ahau. He uri nō Ngāpuhi me Ngāti Whātua hoki. I am Ambrosia, the creative behind Waihonga. I am an architectural designer and worked previously as a heritage advisor caring for Māori architectural taonga. My most rewarding venture to date though has been becoming māmā to my little boys Troy and Brodi. My partner Blair and I recently purchased our first property near Ōkaihau to return home to our whānau to enjoy this precious time with our pēpi. Waihonga allows me to focus on my creative practice, connect to my Māoritanga in new ways and create a solid foundation for my whānau.
